In order to encourage artists to apply to calls for artistic residences abroad and get a chance to cooperate with international partners within the ‘Artist in Residence’ (Plants AiR) project, the team of the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ organises discussions with the wish to make the process of selection and application more accessible and more transparent.
The presentation of artistic residences ‘We Talk about Residences’ will be held in the Bulevar Books (Mihajlo Pupin Boulevard no. 6) on 19 February at 7 p.m.

Andrea Palasti, a visual artist and professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Jelena Anđelovksi, poet and assistant at the Department for Comparative Literature of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, Branislav Živanović, participant in one of the residences within the ‘Artist in Residence’ (Plants AiR) programme, will draw on their experience regarding the Artist in Residence programme.
The discussion will be moderated by Milena Janković, manager of the ‘Artist in Residence’ (Plants AiR) programme that is being implemented within the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ project.
The aim of the ‘Artist in Residence’ (Plants AiR) programme is internationalisation of local artistic scene, education and networking of local artists with foreign artists and organisations. Within the programme, artists from Novi Sad receive the support in order to implement outgoing residences, as well as to enable foreign artists to visit Novi Sad and to exchange experience and knowledge with local artists through work.
