In addition to numerous events, the ‘Kaleidosope of Culture’ takes you to Sremski Karlovci this weekend.  The starting point is Patrijarha Rajačića Street no. 3 in Sremski Karlovci at 3 p.m.

The ‘My Karlovci Story’ gives an unusual opportunity for citizens to meet the heritage of Sremski Karlovci by visiting the houses of Maširević and Auer families. The descendants of these families, i.e. new homeowners, will talk about the history of the families, the heritage of Sremski Karlovci, showing private photographs, personal items and life anecdotes. The visitors will also have a chance to see short videos about Sremski Karlovci that were submitted via the call.
The ‘My Karlovci Story’ offers an authentic atmosphere of Karlovci by visiting private homes of its residents, to hear the story about its former and present inhabitants and their everyday life, which all together make an interesting cultural heritage.

The second ‘My Karlovci Story’ walk is scheduled for 14 September at 3 p.m. at the same place, while the third one will be in October.

The walks are being implemented by the Society for cherishing traditions and development of Sremski Karlovci and the ‘Novi Sad 2021 –  European Capital of Culture’ within the ‘Heritage Walks’ project.

The ‘Kaleidoscope of Culture’ is the programme arch of the ‘Nov Sad 2021 – European
Capital of Culture’ project, which turns Novi Sad into the ‘city of scene’ at more than 80 locations from 24 to 30 August. Part of the ‘Kaleidoscope of Culture’ are Street Musicians Festival, Piano City, Comics Weekend, Festival of Chamber Music, etc.
It connects spaces and programmes, as well as the actors themselves: the ‘Kaleidoscope’ presents a unique image of the diversity of Novi Sad through multiple arts, with its cultural institutions, non-institutional scene, artists and citizens themselves. With more than 400 programmes, everyone will have a chance to design their own kaleidoscope of culture.
