The festival concept of celebrating New Year’s Eve 2017, entitled „2New!“ which has been prepared by „Novi Sad 2021“ team, will gather at four city locations the biggest number of performers so far. One of the central events is at the Freedom Square where regional pop icon Zravko Čolić will perform, as well as Novi Sad Big Bend.

Conductor of Novi Sad Big Band, Fedor Vrtačnik, announces that on New Year’s Eve they are preparing an essence of their artistic, musical and entertainment program.                                     

– We have prepared a repertoire with popular international and domestic tunes of funk and pop music which will be performed by soloists Bojana Stamenov and Zoran Šandorov accompanied by the Novi Sad Chamber Choir – said Vrtačnki, adding that on the stage at Freedom Square there will more than 60 top musicians.

Vrtačnik does not hide his satisfaction with the fact that this year’s festival organization of New Year’s Eve has included a lot of artists, primarily from Novi Sad, which gave the whole project a dose of freshness and interest.

– In our region this approach to the New Year’s program outdoors has not been recorded and this is a concept that certainly has future. Novi Sad has become more attractive to tourists, the offer was extended with different musical and stylistic events and this is what makes the City of Novi Sad interesting and different compared to other cities in the region when it comes to New Year’s Eve – said Vrtačnik.

Novi Sad Big Band was founded in 2003 under the patronage of the City of Novi Sad by professional and renowned jazz and pop musicians who continued with great success the tradition of Novi Sad orchestra performing of film, theater and jazz music.
