The ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation was admitted to membership of the Europa Nostra organisation, the most significant European network that deals with cultural heritage.

In this manner the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ project, within which several important projects on protection and preservation of cultural heritage are implemented, received another international confirmation for its work and strategies implemented by expert teams of the Foundation.

Along with several hundred European organisations, as a member of Europa Nostra, the Foundation will participate in development of programmes and strategies of preservation and promotion of European cultural heritage.

To remind, Europa Nostra is the organisation that initiated the pan-European initiative of the year of European cultural heritage that included hundreds of projects aimed at preserving the legacy of Europeans. The knowledge and experience that the representatives of the network and member organisations have, will be of great importance for further development of projects implemented by the Foundation, such as: Kineska Creative Disctrict, Svilara Cultural Station, Heritage Walks, and others.

In the upcoming period, the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation will continue to develop international partnerships in the fields of art and culture, work on linking local and European organisations, and develop new practices.
