Novi Sad will host Slovakian artist Andrea Kalinová who will stay in our city within the ‘Plants AiR’ programme of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation this autumn.
Andrea has been selected within the open call for artists who work in the field of new media (digital art, installations, photography, virtual art etc.) launched by our partners from K.A.I.R. (Košice Artist in Residence).
During the two-month visit to Novi Sad in October and November this year, Andrea will work with local artists on the project of strengthening the Cultural Stations and finding ways to bring Cultural Stations to local community. Through interaction with citizens, Andrea will contribute to making Cultural Stations the key element of the development of city dynamics through the artistic interventions.
Andrea Kalinová comes from Bratislava, she is a PhD graduate at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, works with photography, and the topic of her PhD thesis was: ‘Artistic Strategies as Methods of Protection of Architectural Monuments’.
This residency is supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council.
