As part of the activities of candidacy for European Capital of Culture in 2021 the City of Novi Sad has adopted a strategically important document – The Cultural Development Strategy of the City of Novi Sad for the period from 2016 to 2026.

The significance of the Cultural Development Strategy of the City of Novi Sad has been emphasized in the recent statement of the City Council Member for Culture, Mr. Dalibor Rožić, where he stated that Cultural Development Strategy of Novi Sad defines the basis and long-term directions of cultural development of the city.

Besides its importance for further systematic and comprehensive development of culture, this document is also the obligatory document of the candidacy for European Capital of Culture.
