A painter Danijel Babić became the ninth member of the Arts Council, as the Organizing Committee of the European Capital of Culture 2021 decided, and in this way the Arts Council got a representative of the independent art scene of Novi Sad.

Danijel Babić, a famous painter of the middle generation was born in 1967 in Očauš, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is the author of numerous solo exhibitions in the country and abroad. He is a member of the Association of Artists of Vojvodina. His joining the Arts Council of ECoC gave the professional team not only a representative of the independent scene, but also one of the most prominent artists of visual art scene in the city.
