The lecture on the topic of the ‘Importance of Local Producers for the Tourist Offer of the City’ by the BarmeNS association, which was held in Sremska Kamenica, on Tuesday, within the ‘European School of Hospitality Bar of Cultures NS2021’.
Participants had a chance to hear from Davor Sekulić, a householder and technologist, who presented his products in his household and distillery, Saša Pavlović from the Tourist Guides Association, who talked about the importance and recognition of local products and to which extent they are interesting to tourists. The third lecturer, Ranko Spasojević, on behalf of the BarmeNS association, analysed organoleptic properties of products with the visitors and presented ways in which they can be served to guests.
Within the project, 90 young people who work in the hospitality industry are planned to complete three modules of trainings, and the lecture on the topic of the ‘Importance of Local Producers for the Tourist Offer of the City’ was the second within the third module.
The aim of the project, which is implemented by the BarmeNS association and the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation, is education and introduction of significant tourist places in the city to hospitality workers, thus offering guidelines for extraordinary communication and service.
