Works on the restoration of the facade of the family home Marić in Kisačka Street 20, in which, at the beginning of the last century, lived scientists Mileva Marić and her husband, Albert Einstein, are expected to begin this year.
As announced earlier, the City of Novi Sad will get significant funds that will, among other things, be used for the reconstruction of the city facades as part of the preparations of Novi Sad for the European Capital of Culture 2021.
After decades of devastation, the final renovation of the facade of the family home Marić in Kisačka Street will be preceded by placing information-plate on February 1st on the occasion of the City Day. As planned, besides the renovation of the facade a memorial room will be decorated, which will mostly be dedicated to mathematician Mileva Marić.
Mileva Marić and Albert Einstein lived in that house, which was built by her father Miloš an officer, in 1905 and 1907. Especially interesting is the fact that Einstein formulated the theory of relativity, which was introduced to the world in 1905, so it is possible that the theory of relativity was created in Novi Sad!?
