Rita Kinka, President of the Arts Council
07/06/2016

Pianist Rita Kinka, a representative of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, which has performed in almost all European countries with the support of Women of Europe Award Foundation, was unanimously elected at the meeting of the Arts Council for the president of that body, which is an important segment of Novi Sad candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2021.

„In contrast to the usual practice of some capitals of culture having an individual as the artistic director of the project, the Organizing Committee opted for a collective body, the Arts Council, which was formed a month ago and consists of nine experts from various fields of cultural and social life. I believe that in addition to the quality and participation of prominent individuals as well as institutions and organizations they represent, providing pluralism of opinions, will result in a more comprehensive and diverse access to the candidacy, „said Mr. Nemanja Milenkovic, President of the Organizing Committee of Novi Sad 2021.
