Novi Sad will soon get the most modern Music and Ballet school in South East Europe with a large concert hall. The Music and Ballet school will finally have their own space, and it will be built on a plot bounded by the Boulevard of Car Lazar and Narodnog Fronta St, Balzakova St and Šekspirova St. The planned capacity for the music school is 1,500 students and 200 teachers, and for ballet school 600 students in two shifts and 60 teachers. In addition, here will be educated musicians who are going to be part of the Novi Sad 2021 Project, and some of the music program will be held in the new hall.

As planned, the school will spread on the area of approximately 15 thousand square meters, with a 400- seat concert hall. The new concert hall is planned according to the latest principles of acoustics, where the surface, volume, shape, geometry and materials provide superior sound quality.

Through this project the City of Novi Sad is developing its local concept and strategy of sustainable cultural development with emphasis on decentralization of cultural programs. As one of the most important criteria for getting the title of European Capital of Culture is decentralization of cultural programs, this is the most obvious example that Novi Sad resolutely fulfills the requirements in the way of obtaining this prestigious title.
