On Saturday evening in the central hall of Mercator center in Novi Sad the citizens of Novi Sad had the opportunity to attend the extraordinary musical spectacle. Symphony Orchestra Novi Sad 2021, created in honor of the final stage of Novi Sad candidacy for European Capital of Culture, performed the most famous tunes from the film classics. The repertoire included musical themes from the famous domestic and international cinema, such as Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Otpisani, The Mambo Kings, Schindler’s List, The Godfather and many others, and the whole experience was fulfilled by vocal soloists Jelena Koncar, Milena Srdić and Sasa Štulić.

Before the concert, the youngest citizens entertained themselves at the promotional stand of Novi Sad 2021, where they were finding and marking concepts related to the candidacy of Novi Sad for ECoC and the city of Novi Sad itself.

The performance of the orchestra Novi Sad 2021 represented the highlight of the great celebration of nine years of Mercator center in Novi Sad, and on this occasion the company Mercator-S presented the nine- concept art and supported the candidacy of Novi Sad for the European Capital of Culture 2021.
