Decentralization of cultural events is one of the essential criteria for obtaining the title of European Capital of Culture and development of Novi Sad cultural scene. Unfortunately, the majority of cultural events are in Novi Sad, as shown by the results of the research team responsible for the development of city cultural strategy.

One of the objectives of Project Novi Sad 2021 and future strategy of cultural development will be to provide equal opportunities for cultural development of all parts of the city. Especially because of this, the fact that on April 20^th a new building of the cultural center “Mladost” in Futog was opened is very pleasing. The building was officially opened by Mayor of Novi Sad, Mr. Miloš Vučević. It is a building of 1,000 square meters, with two halls designed for different sections, an additional room in the basement, dressing rooms, restrooms and offices.

There is also a cinema which begins its work on April 22^nd, so the inhabitants of Futog will have a chance to enjoy the latest movies projected by the most advanced technology.The building of the new Cultural Centre is named after a prominent writer Branko Ćopić.
